GREY CUP 2022: Championship energy was brought back to the Heartland in Regina, SK in 2022. The SiriusXM Kickoff Party started the week off with a free show from headliner Colin James! The Canadiana Gala featured an incredible dinner followed by entertainment from The Road Hammers. Saskatchewan’s own Hunter Brothers headlined the Indoor Tailgate with Sacha warming up the football fans before hand – or fans stayed outdoors with Canadian rock super group Toque keeping them warm before the kickoff!

GREY CUP 2019: Football fans were invited to ‘Experience the Energy’ of the 2019 Grey Cup Festival presented by Shaw in Calgary, Alberta. The Calgary Stampeders and the Calgary Sports & Entertainment Corporation were eager to match and exceed the bar set by Edmonton the year previous for the 107th Grey Cup Championship Game and the festivities surrounding. Trixstar was involved with producing the Alberta Blue Cross Grey Cup Gala hosted by Gerry Dee with entertainment from Jim Cuddy (of Blue Rodeo) and Justine Tyrell. The Outdoor Tailgate outside of McMahon Stadium was also a smashing success with performances from Canada’s Toque and The Practically Hip (Tragically Hip Tribute). 

The Grey Cup Gala featuring Jim Cuddy, hosted by Gerry Dee, was submitted to The Canadian Event Industry Awards in the category of Most Outstanding Event ($250,000+) via CSEC, FM Systems and Trixstar.

GREY CUP 2018: Trixstar ‘Brought the Heat’ in Edmonton alongside the 2018 Grey Cup Festival committee; helping produce all of the entertainment, acquire production services and other site operational needs for the 106th Grey Cup. The Edmonton Elks were thrilled to host the Grey Cup in a year that marked the 40th anniversary of Commonwealth Stadium. 33 acts were booked throughout the many events shaping the festival, 32 of the Canadian, and 12 of them Edmontonian! Some of the many events included a surprise rooftop performance from The Strumbellas; 3 days of programming on the Nissan Titan Street Festival Outdoor Stage with Tim HicksThe Rural Alberta AdvantageThe Watchmen, The Royal Foundry, Maestro Fresh Wes, The Static Shift, Tebey, Alee & more; 3 tailgates at Commonwealth Stadium featuring The TrewsAaron PritchettPlatinum Blonde & Lindsay Ell (plus a fan march to the game!); a sold out Saturday night concert with Trooper, Kim Mitchell & Loverboy; a Kickoff Party with Kardinal Offishall; and a Grey Cup Gala all capped off by a performance from Alan Doyle.

The 106th Grey Cup presented by Shaw and 2018 Grey Cup Festival presented by Shaw were together named the Canadian Sport Event of the Year by the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance’s PRESTIGE Awards. From an incredible week of events in the lead-up to the big game, through Terry Williams’s electrifying return late in the first half and Alessia Cara’s phenomenal halftime performance, the week set a new standard for Grey Cup excellence. The PRESTIGE Awards — short for Program Recognizing Exceptional Sport Tourism Initiatives, Games & Events — honour exceptional events, people and organizations.

GREY CUP 2010: Each year the host city of the CFL’s Grey Cup Championship Game holds a 4-day event to celebrate the CFL and more importantly to celebrate Canada. Trixstar was part of the festival management team during the 98th Grey Cup Festival and was responsible for 5 different venues which included street parties, cabarets, tailgate parties, sponsorship parties and numerous corporate activations. Some of Canada’s top talent was booked including Big SugarGeorge Canyon, Bif Naked, Ian Thornley and Big WreckEmerson DriveFozzy with Chris Jericho, Corb Lund, Trooper and lots more!
